一、培养目标与毕业要求(Educational Objectives & Graduation Requirements)
(一)培养目标
1.身心健康,具有良好的人文素养,关注社会发展,有强烈的社会责任感和历史使命感。
2.能够独立思考,具有批判性思维、严密的逻辑推理和组织论证能力。
3.掌握系统深入的自然科学、材料科学与工程的基础理论,能够独立和合作开展创新研究。
4.掌握材料学科与交叉学科相关的专业知识,并能自主构建独特的知识体系,针对国内、国际需求和材料学科发展前沿,具备运用以上知识解决复杂的材料科学与工程领域相关问题的能力。
5. 具有与国际化业界同行及不同学科、行业、背景的人有效沟通能力,团队协作能力以及领导力。

3.Able to conduct innovative researches independently and collaboratively by mastering systematically and in-depth the basic theories of natural science and materials science and engineering.

Targeting the domestic and international demands as well as the research frontiers of materials, able to solve complicated problems related to materials science and engineering using the professional knowledge of materials science and interdisciplinary areas, as well as the self-established unique knowledge system.
5.Able to communicate effectively with people from the same or different professional fields, industries and with a variety of culture backgrounds, and have a spirit of teamwork and leadership.
(二)毕业要求
1. 具有良好的人文社会科学素养、社会责任感,公正、自信,能够在实践中理解并遵守职业道德和规范,履行责任。
2. 具有批判性思维及逻辑分析能力。
3. 具有扎实的数学、物理、化学以及工程技术基础,掌握专业领域的基本原理和材料测试与分析技术,且能够结合现代工程工具和信息技术工具,针对材料科学与工程中的实际问题,提出新方案、研制新材料或发明新技术。
4. 设计满足国家和国际特定需求的实施方案中能体现技术创新、经济效益和可持续发展的意识,并兼顾到社会、健康、安全、法律、文化以及环境等因素。
5. 能够洞察当下材料科学技术的前沿与存在的问题,提出科学有效的研究方案,并能将复杂问题分解成具体问题,进行有效组织实施的能力。
6. 具备分析问题、解决问题的能力,能基于科学的研究方法,分析研究数据,并形成科学、合理的研究结论。
7. 在多学科合作背景下,能够独立和团队协作开展工作,具有领导能力。
8. 具有国际视野,能够进行有效沟通交流(包括个体口头交流、演讲和论文撰写)和合作。

Have a solid base of knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering technology, master the basic principles and materials testing and analysis techniques in the field of expertise, be able to propose novel project, discover new materials and invent new technology to solve practical problems in materials science and Engineering with modern engineering tools and information technology tools.
4. Make implementation plan to exhibit technological innovation, economic benefits and sustainable development with consideration of social, healthy, safety, law, culture and environmental issues to meet the specific national and international demands.
5. Able to gain insight into the leading edge and existing problems of materials science and technology, propose scientific and effective research plan, capable to decompose complex problems into specific issues to organize and implement efficiently.
6. Able to analyze and solve problems, make scientific and reasonable researching conclusion based on proper research method and data analysis.
7. Function effectively both individually and on teams under interdisciplinary cooperation, with leadership.
8. With global horizon, be effective in communication (oral communication, speech delivering and paper writing) and cooperation.
9. Have the awareness and ability to self-learning and lifelong learning.

六、修读指导(Recommendations on Course Studies)
1、《形势与政策》和《心理健康教育》课程为课外必修课程,分别计 2个和1个课外学分。
These courses, Situation and Policy and Mental Health Education, are compulsory courses for extracurricular courses, with 2 credits and 1 credit respectively.
2、《大学英语》课程可以选择以下修读方式:
以考代修:学生网上选课后申请以考代修并办理相关手续,即可免修,但必须参加期末口试和笔试。口试成绩占总评成绩10%,笔试成绩占总评成绩90%。免修免考:学生取得了全国大学英语四六级、雅思、托福相应的成绩,或获大学英语竞赛三等奖以上,可以申请免修免考大学英语。用英语四六级、雅思、托福的成绩折算出大学英语的期末成绩;大学英语竞赛成绩则直接记为大学英语期末考试成绩。学生如在英语四六级、TOEFL、IELTS获得相应考分,对折算英语成绩不满意或想学英语课程的,可选择参加正常大学英语课程学习,成绩计算时,期末总评成绩与社会考试折算成绩就高不就低。具体折算方法见下表。
For the course College English, students can apply to only take its final exam, without participating in classroom learning. The final exam includes Oral English Test(10%) and Written English (90%). On the other hand, students can also use other English test cores instead of College English course scores, such as CET, IELTS, TOEFL and College English Contest.The score of College English can be calculated as follows:
