On April 21st, Professor Neil Cameron, Dean of the Materials Department of Monash University, Professor Huang Aijun, Director of the Additive
Manufacturing Center, and Ms. Yao Bin, Student Recruitment Manager of
China, visited the International School of Materials Science and
Engineering (ISMSE). Leaders of our school, Vice Dean of the School
of Materials Yin Guanchao, and other relevant personnel attended the
meeting.
President Wang Tao warmly welcomed the delegation and said that the cooperation between the two universities started early. They have achieved practical results and rich experience in joint cultivation of undergraduates, forming a brand project of Sino-Australian education cooperation. He expressed the hope to take the opportunity of the delegation's visit to have an in-depth exchange of views and further the work of the major of material science and engineering at Wuhan University of Technology and the Department of Materials at Monash University in joint cultivation, synchronized classes, summer training and other related aspects.
Professor Neil Cameron thanked the school for its warm welcome and meticulous arrangement and said that the major of material science and engineering at Wuhan University of Technology has always been an important partner of the Department of Materials at Monash University in China. Both sides have always been working on practical education, exchanges and cooperation, and have achieved remarkable results. They will continue to fully support the implementation of the landing of the cooperative projects based on the existing achievements and successful experience.
In addition, the delegation held a presentation on “2+2” joint cultivation program in the lecture hall of ISMSE. About 40 students attended the presentation.
